Queen of the Adriatic
Venice is a city in northeastern Italy in the Venetian Lagoon and is made up of over 100 tiny islands interconnected with canals. For over a millenium, it was the capital of the Republic of Venice and has been a major part of most artistic and musical Renaissance movements. Venice's canals are the most iconic part of the city and act as roads in which anyone in the city can travel by gondolas. It offers many romantic and cultural attractions that would make any trip one to remember!
Transportation
Venice's unique transportation is important to be able to adequately navigate the city. Due to Venice's unique layout and construction as many interconnected islands, most public transportation is done by vaporetto boat. They travel through the Grand Canal and stop at multiple different stations so you can get where you need to go, and if you are interested in more information, you can find times, fares, and other information here!
Climate
Venice tends to have cool winters and humid, warm summers with an overall mild climate that is made more moderate by its proximity to the Adriatic Sea. If you want more specific weather information for an upcoming trip, you can find that here.
