Onward is a Disney children's movie about 2 elf brothers seeking to recover their father after discovering a magic staff that brought back half of his body. They go on adventures through a world filled with magic and attempt to discover the magic's secrets and their father's past. In the end, they bring back their father long enough to say a long missed goodbye as they accept his death and are able to move on stronger than ever.
I thought this movie was very heartwarming and charming. The animation style was unique and fun, and the voice acting was incredible as there was obviously great talent recruited for this film. The plot was a fun and exciting spin on the fantasy genre with an interesting premise that is both engaging and heartwarming. This is a wonderful film for the whole family, and I would strongly recommend.
